Whitney Cummings Charlotte Concert reviews
Mellencamp is a Master
Whitney Cummings has proven to me why she has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with this show. She played a good mix of some of her newer music, which is stripped down to basics and actually quite good, along with some of her greatest hits. Her new stuff has a country rockabilly feel to it and her songwriting is sharp, insightful, and deep. The songs are somewhat spiritual. She performs with a passion. The show started with the stripped-down set (which also included a rearrangement of songs like The Authority Song), followed in the middle with an acoustic set, and finished the last leg with the full (and very loud) band. She played for two hours and twenty minutes. My wife and I also like the reworking of Jack and Diane in a rockabilly style.
Very very very good concert!!
